Bangladesh squad for the two Tests of the ICC Test Championship against New Zealand has been announced. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced the squad on Saturday (December 4) evening.
The announced squad includes star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, who was rumored to be on leave. Naeem Sheikh, who is also in the Dhaka Test squad, will be waiting for his debut in New Zealand. Yasir Ali Rabbi and Mahmudul Hasan Joy, who made their debuts in the Pakistan series, will also go to New Zealand. Among the cricketers in the Dhaka Test squad, only Saif Hasan and Rezaur Rahman Rajar were left out of the squad for the New Zealand tour. Although Saif succumbed to typhoid and went out of biological protection, Raja remained fit in the Chittagong and Dhaka Test squads. However, he did not get a chance in the XI in any of the two Test matches against Pakistan.
